This year, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is organizing a series of ecommerce events to help enterprises and local SMEs gain business insight and take advantage of technology to capture new market opportunities through ecommerce.
Hong Kong merchants considering expanding their online retail business should check out theAsian E-Tailing Summit, taking place on December 6, 2017, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Organized by the HKTDC, the event will survey a range of topics for the ecommerce industry. The event will include a morning plenary session on how rising digital consumption is reshaping the global economy, hosted byDeborah WeinswigManaging Director at Fung Global Retail and Technology. The afternoon will include two breakout sessions. The first break-out session, hosted byMr Lester Owencroft, Area Vice President and Country Manager of Gartner Hong Kong, will discuss cross-border ecommerce and perspectives for logistics, online payments, security and fraud prevention, and order fulfilment. The second breakout session will discuss the impact of social commerce on online retail and omnichannel initiatives to engage online consumers hosted byAnson Bailey, Head of Consumer Markets at KPMG.
